What are the side effects and risks with PRP microneedling?

Your skin may appear red and be a bit more sensitive after the treatment. It may feel slightly tight for a few days. Because this treatment involves using your own blood products, there are very little risks and side effects. As with any injections, there is always the risk of infection which is why choosing a medically qualified practitioner is essential.

What are some PRP microneedling do's and dont's?

Things to do after your treatment include avoiding the sun, avoiding applying sunscreen immediately after, and staying hydrated. Avoid using any active skincare products like retinols, AHAs and acids until about 7 days post treatment. For 24 to 48 hours post treatment do not wear makeup or perform any strenuous exercise (as sweating can enable bacteria to enter the newly formed channels in your skin).
