How does this treatment work?

Neuromodulators like Botox® Dysport® and Xeomin® temporarily block the chemical signal from the nerve to the muscle. This reduces the person's ability to make facial expressions that cause wrinkles.

How long do I need to recover after this treatment?

You may have some pinpoint bleeding and redness for 15 minutes after the treatment. Please refer to our before and aftercare recommendations.

Are these treatments painful?

We use very tiny needles for these injections. Although you'll have several injection points, most patients say it's extremely tolerable. To minimize discomfort, we can apply a topical numbing cream before the treatment and an ice-pack directly after the treatment.

Will people know I’ve had injections done?

Our goal is always to keep you looking natural and help you look more refreshed and relaxed. The majority of patient feedback from this treatment is that their friends and family say they look rested and refreshed but aren't able to pinpoint that they've had injections done.

How should I prepare for my treatment?

A week before your treatment avoid taking medications that can increase your risk for bleeding and bruising such as aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E and fish oil supplements. You can take Tylenol if needed. Consult with your family nurse practitioner or physician before stopping any prescription medication. Avoid drinking alcohol 24 hours before your treatment to reduce the risk of bleeding and bruising.
