Recovery & Side Effects

This treatment has little to no downtime. Common side effects include swelling and tenderness in the treatment area, which can last for up to 2 weeks. Like all injections, there is always a risk of bruising. Applying arnica ointment pre and post injection can help reduce bruising. Full results are seen in 5 weeks.

Consultation

We will always start by reviewing your skin concerns and providing different treatment options for you. Your Nurse Practitioner will review your medical history, discuss before and after care, and answer any questions you might have. We will thoroughly review risks and benefits as well as what to expect post procedure. We will discuss pricing and the treatment details including the number of treatments needed to attain your desired aesthetic outcome.

Pre-treatment

Your Nurse Practitioner will prep your skin and take photos of the areas receiving treatment. Topical numbing cream is applied in the treatment area to maximize your comfort.

The Treatment

Once the numbing cream has kicked in, we will perform the treatment which includes several injections into the double chin or submental area. The injections take 5 to 10 minutes maximum.

Post Procedure

After your treatment is complete, we will review the post treatment instructions with you and provide you with your NP’s contact information. We encourage you to call, text or email if you have any questions or concerns.
